Inputs and unsupported output
The executable is encrypted
Section titled “The executable is encrypted”MachLift reports encrypted code as non-analyzable. Confirm that your input is both authorized and suitable for static analysis. There is no built-in decryption or FairPlay/DRM bypass workflow.
The package or executable is malformed
Section titled “The package or executable is malformed”Inspect the reported diagnostics. Confirm that you selected the intended IPA and executable. A file extension does not establish that its contents are a valid package or a supported Mach-O image.
A function has no pseudocode
Section titled “A function has no pseudocode”The current recovery path may not support that function’s instructions, control flow, or memory behavior. A reported work limit or an engine error is a different outcome from a semantic capability refusal. Read the actual diagnostic and continue inspecting the available disassembly.
Do not interpret a missing pseudocode body as proof that the original function contains no useful behavior.
Some destinations or declarations are missing
Section titled “Some destinations or declarations are missing”Indirect destinations and unsupported metadata may remain unresolved. Recovered declarations and discovered function candidates are partial analysis results. Review evidence and uncertainty and the scope reference.
A file format is not selectable
Section titled “A file format is not selectable”The current GUI file selector accepts IPA files. Other formats in the intended product scope are not automatically available as direct inputs. See requirements and availability.
