Requirements and availability

MachLift targets macOS 14 or newer on Apple Silicon. This describes the computer running MachLift. It does not describe every operating system whose binaries MachLift can fully interpret.

The application’s file selector accepts .ipa files. An IPA is an application package: inspect its inventory and select an executable before starting analysis.

The product’s intended input family also includes .app, raw Mach-O, .dylib, .framework, and .appex. These intended formats are not a claim that the current GUI can open each one directly.

See the scope reference for the distinction between container handling, CPU decoding, platform conventions, and semantic recovery.

MachLift 0.1.0 is available for macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon. The download section includes the installer, file size, and SHA-256. MachLift is in active development; read the current scope before interpreting analysis results.

  1. Download MachLift 0.1.0 and open the DMG.
  2. Drag MachLift.app onto the Applications shortcut.
  3. Open MachLift from your Applications folder.

The release is digitally signed and notarized by Apple. These checks identify the distributed application; they do not establish complete analysis coverage or exact source recovery.

Download the SHA-256 file into the same folder as the DMG. In Terminal, change to that folder and run:

Terminal window
shasum -a 256 -c MachLift-0.1.0.dmg.sha256

The expected result is MachLift-0.1.0.dmg: OK. You can also compare the full hash shown in the homepage’s download section.

Use a binary you own or are otherwise authorized to analyze. MachLift performs static analysis; it does not execute the selected program as part of this workflow.

Encrypted executable code is reported as non-analyzable. MachLift does not provide FairPlay or DRM bypassing. See input troubleshooting.
