Current scope and limitations

MachLift is in development. This reference summarizes the current application path and deliberately distinguishes it from intended scope.

Dimension Current documented scope
Host macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon
GUI input IPA selection, package inventory, and executable selection
CPU decoding ARM64 and ARM64e
Analysis Static executable analysis, function candidates, disassembly, resolved-target navigation
Swift declarations Recovery from supported type/context/field metadata; partial coverage
Pseudocode On-demand approximate Swift-like output for supported functions
Platform/ABI Specific implemented conventions; no blanket claim of complete Apple-platform support

Reading a Mach-O or decoding ARM64 does not establish full iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or watchOS ABI and semantic support. The host running MachLift and the platform targeted by an analyzed binary are separate questions.

Supported pseudocode includes bounded scalar operations, selected memory and frame behavior, supported direct calls, and supported acyclic control flow. Eligibility depends on the whole function and the active backend. Individual supported instructions do not guarantee generated pseudocode.

General Swift call-signature recovery, broader high-level Swift semantics, and SwiftUI ViewGraph reconstruction are not established by this workflow. Exact original source recovery is not promised.

The intended input family includes .app, raw Mach-O, .dylib, .framework, and .appex in addition to IPA. Direct GUI import of every format is not currently offered by the IPA selector.

Saved-project persistence, public SDK/plugin interfaces, and SwiftUI semantic reconstruction are planned work. Working analysis storage is not a saved-project feature. This site does not offer commercial licensing or a public download yet.

Only analyze authorized inputs. Encrypted executable code is refused; MachLift provides no FairPlay or DRM bypass workflow. Consult troubleshooting for input and output limitations.
